Harold Alexander

Harold Alexander released 2 albums on Bob Thiele's Flying Dutchman label (distributed by Atlantic), with the debut Sunshine Man (includes the famed Bernard "Pretty" Purdie on drums) being the strongest effort, also including the wicked tune Mama Soul (picked by David Holmes for his excellent Cornerstones compilation). The second album Are You Ready? contains three live jams recorded at the Montreux Festival, Switzerland and the 1974 Raw Root album on Atlantic motherlabel is somewhat more relaxed, containing less freaky scat sounds..... unfortunately I might add......

Harold Alexander – Sunshine Man (Flying Dutchman 1971)

Harold Alexander – Are you ready (Flying Dutchman 1972)

Harold Alexander – Raw Root (Atlantic 1974)
