Hubert Laws

Born in Texas in 1939, he joined the early Jazz Crusaders from 1954 till 1960, did a lot of session work with Mongo Santamaria, James Moody and others. He reached his creative peak the first half of the seventies with a string of fine albums for the CTI label. After 1975, he switched to the Colombia label.
